😢Come to Unilag they said😄..It’s the university of first choice, the pride of the Nation they sed😄..bobo of life😩😩😩

Well, I'm kinda a unilag student, so if u're gonna hear all that's been happening in unilag, it's recent shut down and the protests, its only logical u hear it undiluted from the horse's mouth, don't worry ama b dropping it like it's hotï’ƒ. What really happened was for some days, light wasn't stable, infact eh, it was so bad one night, during this week, there was no light all through the night, so all we did was, suffering and smiling while sleeping. You can imagine the heat,it was like someone went to hell nd left its doors open nd d heat was reaching unilag. Infact the electricity was really poor, some of our wife materials who had cooked a big pot of stew for survival had to throw the stew away, it  got spoilt when there was no light to warm it, students depended on unilag light to cook but there wasnt light, so only the rich could buy food, those who depended on hot plate, sought for another means of survival, which is the University's number one food that comes to student's rescue. That would be garri, if you didn't know that, take it from me, you are a butter person. So the breakfast, lunch and dinner, got all like, Garri and sugar, Garri and milk, and dinner: Garri and groundnut. Pure water was scarce as Unilag pure water factory generating pure water had no light to generate it, so most people depended on bottle water for survival, and it wasn't even chilled cuz there was no light. Those who had the belly of a tank or drank like whales had to buy like 6 or 7 bottle water a day, equivalent to 3 and a half bags of pure water. On Thursday, I had a make up class by 8:00am, as a serious student, I prepared to go for the class, but there wasn't water, thank God I fetched water down the day before,  my roomate went to another hostel in search of water to shower. I heard a news from Ulsu(our students union body) that morning, that no student should go for classes as they would be protesting for light and water, and for those coming  from outside school coming for lectures spending so much on high t-fare, buh as a serious student, I felt, I still gas go for class. I went for the class. I bet most of d students had not bathed cuz of d beautiful smell emanating from all corners of the classroom. The class was going on smoothly, infact the lecturer dashed me free half mark to be added to my C.A for rightly answering a question.

Then Ulsu came to burst my bubbles and chased us all away from the class. Those in the library were chased too. Then I got to my hostel to rest, only for them to chase us out again to join the protest and lock down the hostel. I went somewhere to chill and later got back to my hostel after it was opened, they later brought the light later that night and I slept the whole day off thinking it was all over. The next day, which was Friday, was the ghen ghen day, I was awoken with a loud announcement that all students should vacate their halls by 10:00am. That the school had been shut down till further notice. Sharp Sharp, I freshened up and packed my loads cuz God knows I was missing home. I got outta the hostel, only to see the street flooded with Unilag students, the 2 exit gates were blocked by the protesters, holding sticks, and bamboos, and branches of leafs, they were like, how could we leave while they were busy protesting for our rights? Trust your wise Unilag students,  some passed carnal to escape, some passed unknown routes, and some of our super eagles students flew over gates, i'm sure i know how to do that too, but I hadn't eaten that morning. I just went to environmental science to chill there, until the gate was opened, while I was there, some students were busy arguing over the fact that Ulsu were right for holding us captive, some opposed,  later they started arguing over the fact that there is nothing wrong with a woman not knowing how to cook, most guys opposed this, sitting there I was wondering where their energy to talk for so long was coming from.

Later in the noon,  with the Police's help we were released and allowed to go home. We all trekked a distance because there wasn't any bus around with our luggages, walking on the road, was wondering when we would be coming back to school. I hopped up on a bus, t-fare was hiked tho, but at least I got home safely and here I am, blogging from my bedroom and hoping the national situation of the country turns back to normal by Monday cuz, If u take away the books and exam, and put only the Suya stand, I love school with my whole heart😌🤣….. we’ll..Hail unilag the school of first choice and the pride of the nation!!!!!!😂🥳🙃. Ttyl. Peace out!
