From Top to Bottom. (Part 3)

 

Hello Fam! Hopefully. I’ve not lost my line of thoughts. So, back to what we were saying, I have just figured something important. We are all just sperms walking around producing more sperms and hatching more eggs, as disgusting as that sounds, that’s all we are. The sooner we realize most of us are likely going to live this life like every other sperm before us, the better. Only few of us will be as rich as Elon Musk except if we decide to get our hands dirty and all and this is the bitter truth. 

Know this and know peace, our educational system has already put you 7 steps behind, compared to your competitors in different developed countries and even if you went to to a private uni, sorry to break it to you honey, the system is still shitty and it’s when you want to use your private uni degree you’ll realize this. There are too many sperms walking around everywhere for you to be treated specially because you went to a private uni. As long as you schooled in this country, you are still fucked, because Private or Federal or Public, we were not all well equipped for the nonsense we are experiencing in this country after 4 to 5 years of intense studying. This post is not for you all who have mad connections. Some of you are even working at CBN right now, this post is not for you please. Get back to work. 

So, as I was saying, even  if you leave this country for greener pastures, yes I know there is nothing green about this country at all, lol not even lemon or yellow, but at the same time, there is no green pasture anywhere. I mean I have a really great voice, but unless I’m behind a mic singing at church, or I’m in a studio recording a song that may or may not blow, that’s all there is to it. Many have had greater voices and many will still do. The higher your expectations the greater the disappointment. I’m not saying we shouldn’t dream o. Lol. But dream carefully. Lol. Disappointment can sting like a bitch.

So let’s look at this if you are doing an honest  job and earning clean money, getting paid at the end of the month like everyone else and waiting for 30 more days before getting paid again, you are most likely not going to be the next billionaire walking upon the surface of the earth and your children are likely to be mediocre as you, but if you raise them right, they might just escape having a criminal record or dying of addiction to coke and that goes on from one generation to another and that’s all there is to your name in the end. You raised your children morally, but didn’t equip them enough materially,  equals mediocre. At the end of the day, the outcome of your parenting is still not something you will be impressed by. If you’re lucky you may get a grandchild or 2, or in some cases, 20, as some people’s legs never close. 

Now, If you’re making dirty money and earning dishonestly, you’re more likely to surpass your financial goals and provide the best education for your children who are likely not to be the most well behaved adults when they grow up being raised by the criminal parents that you are. The chances of them also being associated with children of criminals like yourself and getting easily influenced is also seemingly high, seeing as they don’t have the best role models as parents. So your children are still likely to run into trouble, since their entire life was built on trouble, and it’s just likely to be a generation of bundles of trouble, to another bundle of trouble, thus, a quiet future is less likely to be guaranteed at the end of the day. Due to their parents name and if unlucky, criminal record.

So In the end,  we are all screwed aren’t we? Except by luck maybe your child is the next Ben Carson or Nelson Mandela, I think all of us are just soujourners passing through life and if you believe in heaven and hell, and you lived a holy life, and you were a kind soul, then being mediocre may not so sound so bad huh. You know the funny thing is, so many mediocre people are not even living a holy life, they are just less likely to be in prison because their money is clean. If you look at it, criminals or not, are any of us even fit to be raising children? Just a bunch of shitty people, cheating on their loved ones, stealing from and lieing to people we care about, and then making more mess and pretending on social media like everything is okay. No. Fix up first and be a better person first of all, before thinking you can fix your kid. I laugh at so many posts I see on the gram men, and I laugh more when I think about people taking those posts seriously. But I don’t even wanna talk about social media today. Lol. Maybe some other day huh? Lol

So,  back to our topic. Like how many role models do we even have from this country? How many have made it due to our crappy educational system? Asuu  strike is still ongoing but if I start talking about that I might end up having to write a whole book today. How many Nigerian Academic Scholars have people studied in their history books as role model for other students both within and outside the country? What have our Academic Giants invented so far? 

We Nigerians are mostly well known for terrorism and maybe when our Musicians are are not impregnating different women here, or doing coke or something more even expensive, what’s that one they were talking about in Peaky Blinders, Yes, Opium, then maybe, every other day they are making us proud innit? Maybe Our President is the ultimate role model, lol, or our Medical Practitioners? Lol. Oh I forgot we no longer have credible medical practitioners, they are all leaving the country at the slightest opportunities this days, simply because they are not getting paid enough for their troubles in this country and that’s just sad. 

Anyway, I feel the education system just made things worse for us. Maybe university should be scrapped. In fact Secondary school as well. At the end of Primary school, most of us are able to read and write already, so why are you stressing us and making life harder for us? Only those that are actually going to study useful courses should have a college primarily for those courses. If not, who cares about the reproductive system? Like reality doesn’t teach you that already. Life ends up teaching you more than schools will ever do. Most of us don’t even remember half of what we Crammed in school. Most of us learnt lessons from life that we would have learnt within the four walls of an institution. 

After Primary school ehn, just put us in a facility for one year to learn anything that can be useful to mankind practitionally, it should also have I.C.T for people that wanna use their computers to earn money. Let people study U.I/U.X design or whatever it is they are paying to study this days after a whole 4 or 5 years of going to college and listening to a lecturer who doesn’t look like he’s getting paid enough for all his stress and certainly doesn’t look like he or she is enjoying their job. They just wanna pay bills.  

The money parents are wasting on education, they can use it to support our hustles or business Ideas after the one year training or even help us get a foreign degree in a music school or art school or something, for those of us that went to Art class simply because no matter how hard we tried, finding x and y seemed impossible. At the end of the day, plumbers and electricians are still more useful in the modern world than some of us who went to study a course that’s not really going to be of help to someone in a long run when they need their tyres pumped or a tooth ache surpressed.

Lol. My course is even better. What the hell is

Animal science and Fisheries? Lol. What is Plant science? Lol. Will studying Zoology help me understand Animal’s language? It better do.  Scrapping secondary school will help us start our business early, instead of having to wait 4 or 5 years to do so. Yoo.

I can’t even remember what I read in Secondary school. Maths was just punishment for me. English was useful but it’s something you learn more by practicing it in every day life than just reading. Stupid institutions that don’t even have the funds to facilitate the practical aspect of what they are teaching you. How are we supposed to understand what we didn’t practice most of the time?

Lol. Omo. NYSC, don’t even let me get started on that. The 3 weeks Orientation camp is enough. It shouldn’t even have to last for 1 year. It’s not like a job is secure for every corper who has ever served, so what’s the point ? Just pay us all the money for a year in one day so that we can use it to furnish our business which was already established after Primary school if I’m being honest. 

You’ll be surprised that this days it’s not even about education, some people are educated but they don’t even know how to talk or behave, they lack emotional intelligence and some illiterates are even more intelligent than them. Try driving in a really busy area in Lagos for few days and you’ll realize it takes more than going to school to be an intelligent person. 

Pheww. I guess I’m just a little disappointed in everything. Everything about this country kills your dreams. Even if you leave this country, except you leave while tender, you are still fucked up. 

Sigh. I’m gonna go to bed now guys. If you got to this point, my dear you are reader. You should probably get that Msc or Phd soon cuz, omo, you dey read faaaaa.

From Top to bottom (Part 2)

 

Hello guys! Welcome to part 2! If you made it this far, I’m proud of you! So, as I was saying, education for close to 15 years is a total waste of our time and youth. All teachers should be allowed to do is teach us how to read and write, and speak good English because that’s important I must say. The rest is Aseju. Infant I blame  all this so called feminists. The truth is women and men can never be equal. Yes, maybe it’s good to know how to do something with your hands, because life is unpredictable and you need it to prepare for an unprecedented future, so except if you’re bent on being a single mom, or you don’t have responsible male figures in your family,  what’s the point of getting a degree from our useless educational system only to end up devoting more of your time to nurturing and raising your children, ensuring your husband and children are well fed and being devoted and loyal to your husband.

Some women don’t even end up using their degree because popping kids alone is time taking and energy consuming, if we were meant for 9-5, why can’t we just pop kids, in 3 weeks and resume back to work the following week. Why must it take 9 months to pop one kid. All your dreams on hold for 9 months. Na wa o. Don’t let me get started on periods. Those things really mess with our moods and our day to day activities. Like we get to consistently bleed from down there for 4 days, (for some people it’s 1 week, I kid you not) while trying to focus on whatever job it is we are doing at that time and achieving results? Sometimes it’s a whole lot for us.

So, after spending 9 months growing another human inside you and vomiting that human through your vagina, do you really think you would still be the same person who was solving further maths in ss2? That whole experience changes you and being a mother is a job on its own. But thanks to Feminists, I’ve spent 4 years of my life in uni, getting above 4.0GP that nobody cares about in the real world and an extra one year doing Nysc, only to eventually ending up doing a job that even has no correlation whatsoever with what I studied in school. Wow. Thanks a lot Feminists, you have proved your point. 

But if I’m being honest, men are the ones that need to make a lot of money and all that shit because at the end of the day, the pressure is still on them to make it and provide. I mean, I get the fact that some women don’t have a good financially supportive family. Probably their fathers, brothers or in-laws or husbands either no longer exist, or are not responsible or something. I mean we have cases where the men will rather sit at home these days while their women provide, or women who ended up widowed too soon, so they have to be the breadwinner. Of course you’ll need to have studied a good course to handle life if that happens so I’m not saying we should leave all the work to men. I’m just saying if you went to an institution in this country and ended up studying a useless course it really doesn’t make no difference because you’re either gonna end up doing a mediocre job to provide for your family or you might have to go into a business which you really didn’t need to have wasted 15 years of your life for. Well asides from those instances of being widowed or what not, nobody is gonna judge a woman for being broke. I’m not a gold digger or anything and I’m not saying we women should have to be begging for peanuts our whole life or urgent 2k, or writing on our status every 2 days that we are going offline and your gender should call, if they wanna talk, stylishly doing bambiala, or bringing all our entire roommates to 1st dates because we are just an hungry gender. Tbh, those are just sad behaviors. Lol. NGL. And I’m sorry if any of you men have ever had to experience that 😂😭. I promise we are not all like that.

Don’t mean to blow my trumpet but I’m probably one of the most independent woman you’ll ever meet cuz I guess I was raised that way, I’m just speaking as a women and realistically, we all know how easy it is for we women to even get what we want without having to sweat at all. So what’s all the bruhahaha for? We can land a good job by using what we gave to get what we want without having to waste 15 years in school learning God knows what. Again I’m speaking generally. Not saying we all do it. At the end of the day, we have women who don’t know how to cook at all and are unapologetically unhygienic because their excuse is that they are educated just like men, go to work and earn a living just like men and don’t have time for all that. Sorry, but I think knowing how to cook and survive and being neat has nothing to do with being a good house wife or not. Every human should know how to take care of themselves, because we need it to survive. If you go to the restaurants you buy food from and see how they don’t care if their catarrh falls in your food, then you will know that everyone needs to know how to cook, and since you are a woman and will be more responsible for what goes in your children’s mouth eventually, If you will like to have children eventually, then you will know that women, especially, mothers can’t slack in the kitchen. But Feminists have made the kitchen look derogatory to our modern women. Okay o. E pele o. Eyin awon Feminists. E ma binu o. E go be. If you’re not Yoruba. Lol. My bad. No be say I sabi plenty Yoruba sef, so if you don’t understand this one and you’re living in Lagos, it is well with you. Lol. 

I honestly don’t know how I ended up here but I promise you somehow somehow, I am still trying to make a point about our shitty educational system. I derailed and you guys did not bring me back to my initial school of thought. Baa Kaba. Lol. Na Hausa I speak o. If you no understand that one, don’t worry I’ll soon speak Igbo. From Top to bottom (Part One)

So er. Hi Guys! It’s been a while. My bad. Just handling life like you all you know. I’m human too and a Nigerian for that matter. To all my readers who just come in here once in a while to check for new posts, without me ever asking, you have no idea how much it means to me. Like, thank you all for your loyalty. I sincerely am undeserving.

Well well well, I guess it rained all day. It’s 9:00pm here and the weather has been really cozy and chilly, some couples are probably getting freaky under the sheets rn, let’s call it freaky Friday huh, lol, while others are probably getting ready to go clubbing or meet up with some random person they met on Tinder.  Our Ladies of the night are probably putting their make up on, shining their lips and ready to work their magic on the streets, church goers are getting ready to break some witches wings into 2 during their prayer vigil I guess, while I’m just here at a chilling place in my neighborhood that men take their women to, to chill, called Kulture Yard, doing everything but chilling obviously.

Sigh. I’m listening to the horrible songs being sang by some wannabe singer right now and guys, I shit you not, this music is not it! I wish I could  just walk up to him and give him a hot konk lol and then everyone sitting will just clap for me, but I ain’t even got half the balls for that. Lol.  No one has ever died from minding their business, so I’m just gonna keep doing my thing and blogging. 

Today, I’m just gonna talk a little bit about the truth about our educational system in this country. I mean don’t get me wrong, If you’re gonna study a useful course like maybe medicine or pharmacy or accounting that will definitely be of need for the human population, then there is hope for you, but honestly let’s be honest, not everyone is gonna be that good at Maths or terrific at Physics or Chemisty. It’s funny how I tried my best to be the best student in my set, from secondary school to Uni, I always tried to stay on top, but all for what! Huh, tell me for what? At the end of the day you end up working for people who probably didn’t take school that seriously, but then it is what it is. Our current president is probably an illiterate but who cares? I hope he’s still alive though. Been hearing some rumors. Lol. Before I digress, my point is at the end of the day, this country forces you to go into business by fire by force.  I’m not saying I’m doing POS or Shawarma business o, but this country turns you into a Shawarma dealer or a POS person.  You know the thing is that while growing up, I used to judge criminals a lot, the thieves and fraudsters, the murderers and kidnappers, now don’t get me wrong, I’m never going to approve of those criminal acts and I will never encourage anyone doing that, but I get them now. I don’t approve of them but I understand them, I understand them a whole lot. Some people burned midnight candles, avoided relationships, did miserly jobs to afford to pay their fees and obtain a degree, paid huge sacrifices. All for what? All for what ???? To become a glorified Tailor? So why didn’t we just learn tailoring in the first place? That would have saved us a whole lot of time and money, and maybe some of us would have owned an empire by now.

Oh Now Buchi is singing? Really? Serious. He still sings? I’m surprised. I know I’m derailing guys but now that I think of it, where the hell is even Dbanj? Where is that guy. Seems like he just went off the Radar or something.

Sorry guys losing focus. But I’m back and you know what? This is all our fault. Yes. We humans and our love for unprotected sex I guess. I’m not talking about me, I’m just saying in general, we humans don’t think of birth control until it’s too late. Some of us have no business having or raising kids yet. I tell ya. You’re married doesn’t mean you have to bring a child to this world to suffer, if you can’t afford to provide for them, why pop them out? But what do I know? The society approves of it so be it. Go on, get married and start having little kids like a rat before your eggs finish and boom before you know it, 11 kids in 3 years. Don’t ask me how. Lol.

Do you even know what pisses me off the most? People who can obviously barely take care of themselves, having up to 10 children in this country? Like what are you thinking? One of them will end up the next President of the country? Freaking wake up. Except an Angel appears to in your dream, and says ‘ your child shall be the father of many nations’ and not in a ‘2face kind of way’, but like, he will be a president and all, so forget birth control,  all you did was increase the population of the country which is not even looking good for the economic situation of the country btw. 

Now I understand why China controlled their population. Like if you know you can’t afford to send your child to a good school and all that, why not use birth control until things are looking better for your family, I’m not saying you should wait until all your eggs finishes, but the thought of having children should even motivate you to want to be financially stable and make big steps everyday to make life comfy for your future kids. But no, God forbid if you decide not to have kids because you don’t have a stable environment for them that they can thrive in, at that point of your life. The society raises eyebrows at you  and mentally throws stones at you like you were the adulterous harlot who was to be stoned to death because she had 7 different husbands and before you know it, you are out there popping kids like champagne here and there. I get it. No judgment. I get it. I’m probably not going to be any different when I marry but I blame the society. I mean I want to have kids on time too before my eggs finish, it’s biologically wise to have kids early, I l know, but is it financially wise? This society can make you rush into things you are not ready for sometimes if you are not careful. May God help us all.

I don’t have it in me to talk about how the society has fucked us up and is still fucking us all up day by day, but maybe I might just talk about that some other day.  There is a whole lot more I wanna talk about but I fear that if it’s too long some of you may not make it to the end. Lol. My lil sister for example. That girl is not a reader of long things.  So part 2 it is then. I know what you’re thinking, am I still out at this deadly time of the night? Nah. I left the place I was blogging from since after Buchi started singing.
